I'm not going to say anything, other than this does not seem balanced at all:
a char with 100 di, 120 anat, 120 tacts is hitting with a bow for 20-21 damage/hit.
a char with 100 di, 100 anat, 100 tactics, + Quiver of rage (10% direct damage, putting damage over cap) is hitting for 28-30 damage/hit.
Looking at that, a character with no scrolled damage modifying skills, does 33-50% more damage each hit than a fully scrolled archer.
I understand Quiver of Rage is rare, but on here rare is not ment to mean overpoweredm which this item obviously is.
I think an overall look at dexxer/archer damage, and the spell damage nerf need to be looked at and revised.

Rage should only be doing 20% more damage, so yeah that seems out of line. The first 10% is direct damage while the other 10% is a percentage of total damage.

yea, against all 70's, the archer with ONLY gm anat/tactics was doing 28-30 damage hits, FAR greater than a fully scrolled character /w 100 di without QoR. If you compare that to meele/spell damage it's sick.

I'm not doubting the test completely, but make sure when you guys do the testing that you are using it on a character with all the same stats armour and everything other than quiver of rage. Dont want any outside variables to mess up the test.

yea, both chars had 100-105 str, 100 di, and nearly identical bows (same bow type, nearly same mods). Both characters had 70 resists.
char /w QoR had 100 tact/anat and was doing 28-30.
char without QoR had 120 tact/anat was doing 20-21.

The issue with this is the way it works. 10% of the quiver is like 10% of a AI each hit. So 10% of the damage ignores the target's resists. The difference would probably not be as big if the target had less or no resists.
I'll do some reasearch to see if it's considered over powered on OSI. since atm its pretty much doing what its suppose to, but I see how it gives too much advantage.

I probably still have one somewhere. Don't think many people know the benefits of hunting named creatures and prefer to gather aoas.Plastic Man wrote:Does anyone but me even have a QoR?

QoR is quite rare. Right now its actually working better then on OSI. There's a few issues with it OSI did not fix yet, such as displaying the direct damage: property.
Really the dexxer fix I think would be to slightly reduce the STR effect on damage, then make the cap a bit higher. I'll have to play with that later on.

The fix did nerf about 5-6 damage off hits with the QoR, which was needed since I seem to be the only player using it in pvp right now. Nice way to balance it out without making it useless TY, Red.

*High five to Plastic Man*
It makes me happy when people get affected by nerfs and they don't go crazy and yell at staff. It's nice to see people say "yea, it was overpowered, gj nerfing it." If only everyone could try to be a little more like that I think it'd really help out the shard.
