Jesse Jackson Jr corrupt? "Oh no you di'int".

Like father, like son. I wasn't surprised at all to hear that he's involved in this mess.

If you are fit to lead the state, then why would you say you're in no capacity to serve until that cloud over your head disappears? That just doesn't make sense to me. I'd try to convince the public I wasn't involved at all.

Maybe he's expecting to be publicly found corrupt? As far as I'm concerned, I think the Jesse Jacksons have no place in honest politics.

True. I wouldn't vote for him because of his dad. Might not be the best reason but whose to say they aren't a lot alike?

If he was smart, he would have simply made a statement condemning the governor's actions, and state that he played no part in it. Ranting about how he's not a crook, only makes him seem more culpable. All the potential candidates now have this "cloud" over their heads, and he's just drawing attention to his connection with the scandal.

Well, we'll see how it all turns out. I doubt any other big names will be implicated in this, and JJ Jr., even if guilty of some lesser corruption here, won't be touched.
