Nader!

No, I think Obama will win, and I suppose that’s what I want.

Obama. Speaking practically here, without any political connotations, Obama is pretty much a lock for the Democratic nomination, and in an economic downturn voters tend to blame the current administration and look for a change of political parties, so the Democrats are favored to win.

Obama FTW. He sounds cool actually, think he'd make a great president.

And what happened to Ron Paul? There was tons of publicity about him but suddent it's stopped, did he pull out or something?

Tons of publicity but (fortunately) not enough votes to make it worthwhile.

So he lost? how does this work? I thought loss/wons were only found out when they actually do the count after vote night? lol. Or did they already run the early bird polls and were able to determine from that? I don't really follow this much. :P

As Ron Paul was competing for the Republican nomination, he had win the most votes out of the state republican primaries in order to run for president as a republican. The states do their primaries on different days, making the early ones crucial because it is to a degree a measure of how people will vote in later primaries. While there was a lot of hype about Ron Paul it wasn't really translating to votes in the primaries, so he decided to give up on the presidency and focus on a re-election campaign for congress.

EDIT: changed the wording a bit.

Yeah, the primaries started back in late January I believe. The Democratic and Republican Nation Conventions are in Late AugustEarly September - and that's when they announce the Democratic and Republican Candidates for President based on the votes from the State primaries (It's actually a bit more complicated than that, but I won't get into it). The real presidential election is in November.
