Anyone else going to have a craptastic, or at least uneventful V-Day?

I'll be continuing to rebuild the data that was lost due to a disk failure. VMs and stuff. It was the least critical drive and never bothered backing up or taking images of the VMs. One VM was critical and was backed up but the backups failed a couple days back to back so I lost everything since Feb1.

that's been most of my week. The failure was Sunday. New drive arrived yesterday.

Valentines is just a regular day to me. If they started making it a day off, then cool.

I do have some chocolates that I'm eating though, which is perfect timing since my 1KG jar of peanuts ran out last night. No food to much on makes squirrel very grumpy. :D

I called in to work last night and tonight - just been feeling crappy. I've got a bottle and a half of wine I can drown my sorrows in. Being chronically single due to a horrible work schedule, being out of college, and not being a churchgoing man blows. Even internet personals have been utterly fruitless. Hell, if there's a "good" thing about any of this, it's that I'm feeling quite motivated to work on some music and stuff....

Red, sometimes I wish I was more like you, in that I wouldn't care about things like V-Day.

Really tbh I find I enjoy being single. If a girl was to ask me out, fine Id go along with it, but I'm not at all in the pursuit for a relationship. And when I move out pretty much same thing, I find theres more freedom. I highly doubt if I got married, that any woman would agree with the kind of plans I have for my house. :P

Actually if I had the money I'd do something like this. But probably wont go to THAT extent. And NOT using credit, thats just stupid...

It was completely uneventful. Neither my wife or myself care about it at all.

I got cupcakes from a woman at work, but I dropped them when a car honked at me. I also got candy from another woman at work, but it all fell out of the bag when I was crossing the street.

(I’m quite da playa.)

Well, to put things in context, they were giving treats to everyone, and the car honked at me to make fun of my earrings.

But, yes, women love me.

We had cup cakes at work. I had like 10. People laugh since I always am all over food whenever theres some, and yet everyone there is on diets and stuff trying to loose weight and here I am at 115 pounds eating like a pig.

"Oh, I only had 6"

3 mm white-gold balls in each ear. I admittedly looked silly, and I’ve since taken them off. (The hole probably already closed; I just got them pierced yesterday.)
