To be honest Squirrel, I think we are all amazed at how much you actually get done on here and (from what I can tell) are able to still manage your irl life. This shard is so advanced and is constantly changing, I don't think you need to say sorry for anything. The server is doing good now, the only thing that could help it grow would be staff run events, or a system coded for time-ran events (which I'm sure we will get eventually).

Yeah event systems are the hardest but I do want to get to them. I want to recode the pvp tourney event since that one is very buggy and I don't even trust it in the way it handles corpses (people have lost stuff because it gets deleted at random) then do a ctf system as well.

yea, those systems are tricky. But you obviously could pull it off. That would put us on par with shards such as hybrid and Demise, they have excellent event systems. If we had a system that automatically opened events on random dates, if playerbase > or = to "x", or make posts saying when events would be held, and then staff wouldnt even need to be on to do it, I think we could see a huge increase of average players on. These are the kind of things that keeps me playing valor, the constant changes and the exciting future of what lies ahead.

on thing I noticed about the tourney system is if I get cursed, it does not go away. Casting remove curse doesnt help, and even long after the tourney is over I am still under the effects. Its frustrating going into a new duel and still being cursed from the previous one.

Yeah the code is there to fix that, but a lot of people have reported it does not work. I never looked at it very deeply.

My plans for event systems is to combine all events into a single very large set of systems. I will pretty much be able to use these systems to create events right in game. Some events may require specialized systems for that event, but the bulk will run off this single system.
