fire steeds
They spawn in fire, may have to kill stuff to get one, just keep looking, its a rather large area.

I will be adding a couple of those spawns around (Possibly with the deceit brazier as well) when I get around to re-evaluating those steeds. They aren't entirely useful unless you have 2 and they may be getting some abilities.ninja2007 wrote:DO NOT SPAWN at all ive looked Everywhere in fire they do not spawn period

Yeah the usefulness of them I was bringing up a while back. I'm all for enhancements (that are balanced of course).Seer Death wrote:I will be adding a couple of those spawns around (Possibly with the deceit brazier as well) when I get around to re-evaluating those steeds. I'm thinking of giving them 2 abilities:
Immolate: Creates a 3 x 3 tile of fire on the primary target similar to the spellweaving "Wildfire" spell. Does this every so often
Flame Rider (Mounted Ability): While mounted on a fire steed, sometimes your mount will go into a fury and flames will erupt from its feet. As you run, fire fields will emerge from under the mount causing damage to anything it hits. This lasts for about 10 - 15 seconds.

There's enough fire breath stuff out there. It would be cool to see the fire resist go up to at or near 100 since the things is pretty much on fire already. It shouldn't be able to be damaged by fire. At the same time, maybe drop its cold resists really low.
Does pack instinct get taken into affect even if you are riding it?
I'd like to see the equin pack instinct applied to all horse shaped pets and monsters. That would make all the steed and horse variations be useful together.

Pack instinct does not apply when you are riding the mount because it's not actually attacking, more defending the rider. Mount abilities are mostly added bonuses for pets. Upping the fire resist and lowering the cold is always an idea as well if they are in need of a resist upgrade.Dumples wrote:There's enough fire breath stuff out there.
