It's a type of racing, I think it's done a lot in Japan and gaining popularity in the US.

global warming is limiting this though. I remember back in the day when 6 feet of snow was the norm, now we hit maybe like 2 and it melts faster. Snow is already melting now. :o

It's basically like hitting the left/right buttons on your pad while playing mario cart.

Yes it creates G force, every kind of vehicle racing creates it.

Yep, I can even drift in Battlefield 2 in a dune buggy, and anything with wheels.

its where you drive a car on a track covered in oil or anything slipperyish and you get points for 1 sliding your car sideways around a turn and 2 doing chains of drifts which can act as a point multiplier.

and everyone said video games werent educational.

Haha, yeah, I can't in good conscience drive one of those with other passengers inside because the temptation to do crazy things is too great!

Hehe, in Hidden & Dangerous 2, I'd head for a cliff's edge at full speed with my buddies in as passengers and bail at the last moment, watching the vehicle fall.

havent you seen the fast and the furious tokyo drift? that whole moive is about drifiting ..... i guess it can be dangerous only if you don't know what your doing....its mostly all about the E brake! I suggest if you try it used an old banged up car cause it can do some serious damage if you arent good at it

Never say I love you, if you really don't care
Never talk about feelings if they really aren't there
Never hold my hand, if your gonna break my heart
Never say your going to... if you never plan to start
If all you do is lie....Never say hi...If you really mean goodbye
If you really mean forever
Then please say you'll try
Never say FOREVER
Cuz FOREVER made me cry

If you believe in global warming, you should read Michael Crichton's " State of Fear". Also, remember teh 10 feet of snow that teh north east got this winter

Red threw in a global warming comment further back in this thread. In any case, Chad, I agree. I am skeptical of man-made global warming arguments, and I believe entirely that any efforts to stem the flow of "greenhouse gases" into the atmosphere in the near future will be far too much expense for far too little effect. In any case, look in the Debates subforum - I started a thread a while back about this very topic but as of yet have had little energy to really present my skepticism and so on.
