Just One Wish

If I could wish one thing in the world
It would be to have my father back
To talk to him like I used to
Do, and to hear his cheerful laugh.
I sit her now, a few months gone by
Since his pass, and I wonder why god
Could’ve taken such a beautiful person so fast.
It’s like, damn, I didn’t have much time
Now he’s gone and I’ll have no more
Time at all.
I’ll remember him well, It’s hard to forget him,
Because my soul, my very being is where he dwells.
A good heart not forgotten, a good person
Still lives on. Until the day we can be together
Again, he’ll stay in my hearts keept, where
He’ll always remain alive and well to me.
