Post by Listerlnx666 »

I heared that Nostrodamus predicted that the end of the world would come in 2006. I personally think the apocolypse will be on June 6, 2006, that would be 6/6/06.....666, at 7:06 PM, which would be 6:66 if u think about it. I also think that it's going to last exactly 1 year, 1 month, 1 day, and 11 minutes, and god or Jesus will come on July 7, 2007; 7/7/07; 777, at 8:17 PM, which would be 7:77 if the hour didnt end at 60. thats what I predict. this is pretty funny, I know, I just now thought of it, if you knew me you'd know I ramble on about stuff, so don't really take it too seriously..lol

Never bought into the whole Nostradamus stuff. Especially lots of his quatrains got distorted and creativly edited after 9/11.

With the exception of 9/11 they're all naturally occuring events. They have happened before and will happen again. Worse ones have happend and worse ones will happen in the future.

Hurricanes in hurricane season isnt all that unusual, even if there are loads this year.

9/11 was a terrorist event. Terrorism has been around for a long time now, it didnt just start in '01.

And nevermind the fact that throughout history, there have been religious doomsayers linking the disasters of their time to the end of world, which still has yet to happen.

Well we do have lot of epidemics, not only human viruses but animal viruses (cows, chickens), natural disasters seem to be worse and worse. I don't remember New Orleans or Florida getting a hurricane to the extent it was this year - yet they had 7 of them. 9/11 sparked a somewhat religious war, or "the holy war" like the al queda calls it.

Seems more and more bad stuff is hapening. Turn on the news for an hour, you'll be lucky to see 1 news report that's something positive, well assuming it's world news and not sports or something. :P

But I don't think God will return on those dates, it's too obvious, He'll come unexpectadly. I'm sure during WWII people figured the end was near, and that hitler may be the antichrist. I'm sure 9/11 lot of people thought so as well.

The end is near, we just don't know how near. :D

As there was in 1918 in 1845 and countless other times throughout history.

These disasters only seem to be getting worse because we dont know the extent of the damage that disasters hundreds of years ago caused.

Again, in history, there were many, many "Holy Wars" from things like the Crusades etc.

Nothing new is happening now that hasnt happend in the past.

And see, the problem is that your argument is based on the fact that YOU don't remember a similar disaster having occured, which is no basis for an argument at all. You're forgetting about the avian flu epidemic of 1918, as well as verious bubonic plague outbreaks, not the least of which was the one during the Middle Ages that claimed a third of Europe's population. I'm sure if you study the history of infectious disease you'll find more. As for catastrophic natural events, there have been many of them. For example, during the late Dark Ages and into the mid-Middle Ages there was a small ice age, which more or less resulted in the Vikings losing some North Atlantic settlements.
Seems more and more bad stuff is hapening.  Turn on the news for an hour, you'll be lucky to see 1 news report that's something positive, well assuming it's world news and not sports or something. :P
That's purely subjective. I won't use this opportunity to rant about the media....

And so did a lot of people around 1000 AD.

I hope that the Apocalpse does happen soon. I'm just sick of seeing what the world is coming to now-a-days. It's about damn time to start over.

You can't see me because it is dark. You can't hear me because I am silent. You can't smell me because I don't stink.

A toast to you and a toast to me, together friends we'll always be, and if in life we don't agree, to hell with you and here's to me.

I can't wait myself for this world to end. I just hope it does not end right when I graduate from college and start working. That would mean my whole life was a waste of time.

But at least I'd be qualified to work for the heaven IT department. Heck, dialup is probably over OC 1024 lines up there.
