Airplane crash in Toronto

This just in, a plane skidded off the runway and is curently in flames. I can't find any info online yet but Global or other news channels are most likely covering it right now. Looks like a weather related issue, and not terrorists, but it's not confirmed yet. This plane was a scheduled flight from France.

Apparently there was some thunder and lightening as it was coming in to land.

Also, I heard that there are some survivers who were taken to hospital.

Yeah I can't believe no one died, they managed to get out fast enough so while it was on fire no one was actually inside I guess. I've you've ever thrown a dollar worth of gas in a camp fire you know how hot a gas fire can get, so imagine jet fuel... 100's of litres of it burning.

Mind you the plane was probably near empty, since I think I remember hearing that they only put enough fuel in the plane to go to the destination then refuel (not sure if this is true, I forget where I heard it from) so this means that huge fire was remains of fuel + the plane itself, quite crazy how long it can burn for.

gas fire actually isn't hotter than most other types of fire such as wood or charcoal, but fire is fire. There probably wasn't a lot of fuel in the plane becuase of the long trip. it's good nobody died

Yeah and I may be wrong, but I think they only put enough fuel in a plane to go to it's scheduled destination, and they only add a bit more for emergency situations, like if it can't land due to an obstruction on the runway etc... so what was burning was only the remains, and was still quite a big fire.

The heat is probably a bit more intense since gas burns faster somore heat is released, but wether it's a forest fire or gas fire, if those people would of actually been in there during that time I doubt they'd be alive. incredible how they managed to get out in time and safely.
