Lol, it's sad when I actually WAIT here for you to answer me. >.< I have nothin' else to do, it's summer.. It's my lazy months! Got very hot here.. heat index the other day was like 120 o.O We live too close to the sun. Let's all move to the equator and put a giant lense to the sun.. WE'RE GOING TO BURN A HOLE IN THE SUN!

Yeah I have a summer job, I'm a network analyst. I sit down and watch all the lights blink on the routers and switches. J/K I do more then that, but it's a pretty laid back job, like any other IT related job higher then Level1. (I'm level 3 - management position too!)

lol basically.

well internal networks, not the actual internet. I mostly do various corporate projects and stuff though like packages that get mass deployed etc. interesting stuff, but if it screws up it's all my fault. the fun part of management jobs. LOL

No, I think it's the Level 1's that do that, and they take all the customer calls. Our department mostly manages servers and such, for other companies.

Oh, well tell level 1 that they will get their payment one day... someday, I will show them what it's like for the internet to go dead while surfing the internet, or playing a game! And I will laugh, as I sit in a comfy chair, and just go blind at all the little blinky lights!

..I want that job, I wanna take multiple lunches, and then take a coffee break right afterwards. Then we can go out for a few hours, and sit in chairs and talk about my job, and how I'm the best person there, cause I actually showed up.

And, just so I don't hafta make a new topic. I'm gonna tell you this.

On a normal Sunday morning, the church pews were full, and the preacher came out, and stood infront of the people, and looked them all in the eyes, as he was getting ready to start the sermon. Just then, an old man stood up, and started to preach.
"One day, these three people went out on a boat, a father, a son, and his son's friend."
The people stared at him.
'They went out to sea to go fishing, but they saw a storm coming towards them, it was too late to turn back, as the waves were coming towards them.'
Two teenagers were staring at this old man with interest.
'The waves eventually got so high, the waves overturned the boat. And the father could only save one of them, and he had about two seconds to save one of them.'
The two teenagers stared at him.
'Since the father knew his son was a Christian, he knew he was going to go to heaven, and spend his life with Jesus. But his friend was not one. He casted out a line to his friend, and pulled him in. He yelled out to his son, before he lost sight of him, "I LOVE YOU, SON!!!"'
The old man sat down, and the pastor started his sermon, and when it was over, the two teenagers went up to the old man and asked, 'Why would he do that? Why would he save someone over his own son?'
And the old man answered, 'Because, God gave His only son, for the sake that all non-believers, and believers alike could have a chance to go to heaven. For you see, that Father was me, and that friend was the pastor.'

Would you do the same thing if you were this man? Would you sacrifice your own son to save someone who doesn't believe?

Woah… It’s a good thing I’m not a Christian. I wouldn’t like to drown.

To respond to your first post, have you tried to look for a job? It would take some of the boredom away, and you could earn some money.

If you can’t find a job, maybe there is some sort of volunteer work you can do. You’d be making the world a better place (Hehe… I guess that really depends on where you volunteer.

), and you’d be making your college applications look better. (Of course, we don’t really care about that second part.

)

Reading is a good way to pass time. So is cleaning, drinking chocolate-flavoured drinks, doing those word-find puzzles, smelling chocolate, playing with your cats, learning a computer language, eating chocolate, etc. If you’re athletic, perhaps there are teams you can join. Oh, I forgot all about homework. Hopefully you’re lucky enough to have homework over the summer like me.

Programming passes time too, but the problem is, you need time to do it, too, hence why 1 year old SquirrelBBS is still in the 1st beta, and has a few vulnubilities that I have gotten around to fixing, but hardly any added features. Well I did start on the "delete forum" feature.

OMG that is freaky, not the story, but the fact that the preacher told us the exact same story last Sunday.

Is God trying to tell me something?

I'm staying away from water, especially if I'm with a non christian.

Yes, I also heard it about a year ago at a funeral. (Catholics have such lovely churches.)

Yeah, for sure.

If I hear that story again any time soon I know God is trying to tell me to avoid going on boats with non christians. Hey, that works, since they'll be drinking, they'll be an accident, then the'll be an adult that will save the others instead of me. It's all falling into place now!
