Hey! What kind of bands y'all like?

I like, and shall NAME THEM ALL!

1) Avenged Sevenfold
2) Hoobastank
3) Disturbed
4) There is no four
5) My Chemical Romance
6) Greenday
7+) Any others I forgot

I try not to listen to them often, since they some of them cuss alot. I'm at a point where I'm influenced by certain things, so if I listen to cursing, watch violence, then I will become influenced by it >.< Curse you, adolescense! Although, I like to sneak in some Mortal Kombat while noone's looking >.> <.<

Heh. I usually am more into Metal/Alternative. I pretty much like anything.. except rap. It's just a punch of clicks and whistles with fast talkin' peoples.

Strangely, I've never heard of ANY of those bands, Stasi :/ Recommend a good one? I could download a song by them and see if I like 'em. ^_^

Since you're mostly into metal/alternative, the Pixies, Sunshine Blind, or Yeah Yeah Yeahs might most closely suit you.

The Pixies is an older indie rock band from the late 80s early 90s.
Sunshine Blind is an excellent goth rock band (their latest album wasn't too good, though)
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a good more recent indie-rock band.

Far as other rock bands I like:

Godspeed You Black Emperor - excellent symphonic rock from a radical leftist group - no lyrics, just voice samples, drums, guitars, and violins/cellos
Rainer Maria - another good indie rock band
Genitorturers - a fetish metal/industrial band (probably not your cup of tea)
The Breeders - nice indie rock band with the Pixies bassist, Kim Deal
Babes in Toyland - bit older hard rock band
Liz Phair (her older stuff, 'Whip-Smart' era)
Butthole Surfers (their older stuff, 'Independent Worm Saloon' era)

i read that pink floyd are reforming for the 30th anniversary of wish you were here.
do u think this will be a good move or bad move?
i love floyd but people like me wont be able to afford to travel and watch them play.. i imagine they'll target a wealthy middle class hippy audience although i hope this won't be true

All I know is that Pink Floyd is reforming with both David Gilmore AAAAND Roger Waters (:o) for the Live 8 Charity Concert in Britain. Dunno about any futher plans, I guess it'd be nice if they reformed and toured, though I doubt I could afford their ticket prices...

pink floyd have lost their spark without roger waters and waters hasn't produced anything half decent without pink floyd
so much time has elapsed between them (about 20 yrs) - im unsure if they can recreate their 'magic'.

IMO, Roger Waters was Pink Floyd. All Pink Floyd(Gilmore) did after he left the ban was put out rehashed crap. It didn't even sound like Floyd to me. Waters put out music that at least sounded like the Floyd that we all remember.

I kinda liked "Learning to Fly", but yeah, post-rogers, PF didn't work out. They had more success just touring around and doing the ol' songs with another bass player
