Forgot my Dad's birthday

Post by Bookworm »

I was at my Dad's house on April 23rd, and noticed a birthday card on his dining room table, which reminded me that my Dad's birthday is in April. It was on April 22nd, though, so I was a day late. At least with my Dad, I have two chances each year to remember his birthday. He was born on the 22nd, but his birth certificate says the 27th, so as long as I hit one of those dates, I'm alright. My Dad is 77 this year. We had a good time going to his brother's wedding on Saturday.

I'd the worse with birthdays. I actually started maintaining a database of all the birthdays recently, so whenever a new birthday pops up I put it in.

I just have to make sure I don't forget my wife's birthday next month. Our anniversary is on the day that the new Star Wars movie comes out, and my wife wants to go see that, so at least I won't forget the anniversary.

GOOD GOD MAN! HAVE YOU NO TACT?.....! :doh:

By the way, is this the "taking a huge poop" smilie? :doh:

For those playing along at home:
Tact: consideration in dealing with others and avoiding giving offence.

<_>

BTW, Y-Control, your sig reminded me of this saying from a book...

I refuse to prove that I exist," says god. "For proof denies faith and without faith I am nothing."
"But," says man. "The babel fish is a dead giveaway isnt it? It proves you exist and so therefore you don't. QED."
"Oh dear," says god. "I hadn't thought of that." And promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.
"Oh that was easy." says man. And for an encore he proves that black is white and gets killed on the next zebra crossing.
