Thanks for the gift boxes Red. The first 2 didn't have anything special, just a dull copper or shadow runic. Then I had to get my third acct guy to his house. He was in the middle of T2A, with no way of recalling or using sj. I had to log another guy in just to gate him out of del passage, then gate him to his house. But the box was worth it.

BRSK - 50 charges
Gold Hammer - 50 charges
Verite Hammer - 55 charges
and a pet bonding deed

I think I am gonna burn the brsk on leather hats, and the hammers on daggers and halberds.

Turns out for some weird reasons the items decay right inside the boxes. I have no clue WTF it does that for, stuff inside containers is not suppost to decay. I'm scared this might be server wide and not just limited to those boxes. But guess I would of heard something by now.

Maybe have them set to secure or locked down when you place them? I've had boxes with loads of stuff secured forever and haven't lost anything...to my knowledge.

secure/lock down is weird the way it works. So what I did instead is make it set movable to false, but then nobody would be able to remove it after, so I overrided it so when you double click it actually generates a new gift box, transfers the items, then delete itself.

But whats happening is the items INSIDE decay, but not the box itself. But I found something in the core thats fishy..

But this is just a workaround, since there must be some other code somewhere which does this already, otherwise all items in all containers would decay. But whatever works I guess....

Just need to fully test this since it was causing weird housing issues.

Why not make an empty box under the sign...then have the box that goes in your pack generate the items instead?
