WoD nerfed?

Just got my first WoD scroll last night. I immediately brought my bard-arcanist to Tokuno to test WoD on Hiryus and Yamandons. At half-life, I deal an average of 20-25 dmg to Hiryus and 15-20 to Yamandons while they are discoed. In demise, I deal 90-300+ dmg to Hiryus, 70-200+ to Yamandons, and 80-250+ to Paragon Balrons. And, without discordance. Is anything amiss? Or I just missed some answers while searching in the forums?

from what I hear WoD is fubared on Demise. They don't have the whole chaos damage thing right, and arcane level is not taken into account. Try WoD at arcane level 3 or higher its more affective. You might also be getting unlucky with chaos hitting the fire resist. I find 1/10 hp or lower is where its the most affective.

Yeah. Demise is lacking tons of stuff.

Haven't tried arcane circle in AoV yet. I still have to create an arcanist in my 2nd account and I'm still thinking of what to do with my 3rd account.

I'll do some more experiments with WoD tonight after work. Lvl 3 arcane focus + arcane empowerment = we'll see.

I know some people who have pulled off 200 - 300 damage using wod on a weakened creature. Actually, I had dreadhorn reskill me with wod doing like 100 damage. Just keep using it with higher arcane levels and when your opponent's hp is at a low amount. You should eventually hit some high values.

Also, if you got chiv on your char and high karma you can control holy squirrels, (think theyre 3 slots) so get one and do arcane circle with another char and you can hit level 3. The arcane circle in heartwood, prism of light, and sanctuary also allow you to go up to 6 (with 6 arcanists). The arcanists have to have within 20 skill difference from you though. So either if you have 100 SW mobs with 80 to 120 will work.

Hmmm... Reptalons also have SW. Will it work with them? I have an arcanist-tamer.

Yeah they can gain in any skill like players can.

SW is super slow though, but they should gain.
